Most Improved Student Program. Annual awards are made to Most Improved Students chosen by each high school in the Washoe County area. We celebrate the year's award winners at two Reno South Rotary meetings in April where students receive scholarships and invite their counselors and family. After a speech contest an additional 5-8 students receive larger scholarships at and annual fund raiser in June. For the last several years we have provided over $65,000 in scholarships to these students, plus another $130,000 in preliminary scholarships and recognition lunches to the students, counselors and parents.
